I have several large straight polar logs. poplar is the softest of the hardwoods, generally used in cabinetry and shelving.
if you need a tax write off there is a 501C3 mill in Yuba that will take them and give you a receipt for their value, all you have to do is deliver them. or have them milled and sell the wood.
