Founded in 1997, MTECH is a product-based company, selling primarily to the fire and public safety markets. Approximately 50% of the products MTECH sells require some degree of custom configuration to meet the customer’s needs. All of our products are fabricated onsite.
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be responsible for supporting the sales team by entering orders, building sales quotations, customer follow-up and customer management, as well as assisting with reception and other office activities.
Working under the Sales Manager, the CSR will be responsible for a diverse task list at MTECH. They will be expected to become familiar with the products MTECH sells and to understand the operation thereof, be expected to understand the front office operations as pertains to Sales and will be expected to learn the business systems as necessary to support the sales role.
Major tasks include, but are not limited to, assisting with or providing the following:
Build, submit and follow up on sales quotations.
Serve as the secondary point of contact for general phone reception and customer service calls.
Assist with tracking and managing sales opportunities through CRM
Monitors new order receipt via email, fax and/or phone
Enters new orders into the enterprise resource planning system
Provide administrative support, input and assistance in the development of marketing and sales materials including brochures, flyers and emails; coordinating consultant visits, record keeping and follow-up.
Will be required to work in multiple computer systems including Microsoft Office.
Maintain a positive employee and labor relations environment.
The Inside Sales Specialist may perform other duties as needed including general office, clerical tasks and sales tasks.
Job Requirements:
Must be willing and able to learn technical aspects of MTECH’s products, including types of plastic material, pumping systems and associated plumbing components, fire truck tank components, etc.
Must be highly organized and able to operate effectively while managing multiple tasks
Must enjoy constant customer interaction throughout the day
Ability to catalogue, organize, update, and pursue multiple leads concurrently
Professional appearance, demeanor, and communications (both written and verbal)
Ability to communicate and work productively with other employees
Ability to effectively think through problems and develop candidate solutions
Keen interest in taking care of the customer at all times
Education and Experience:
3 years product sales experience
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent knowledge thereof) preferred
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Experience with CRM a plus.
Physical Demands
Ability to move about the facility as needed during the day to fulfill job responsibilities
Adhere to COVID-19 safety precautions
The CSR will primarily work in an office environment. There may be some travel to support trade shows and product demonstrations, depending on experience. Scheduled office hours are 7:30AM to 4PM unless an otherwise agreed upon schedule is determined.
