If you're ready to step forward, come raise your voice with us.

We're the "Doin' It Justice" chorus, a non-denominational ,community-based, mixed male/female chorus with Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Bass parts. We sing about issues of social justice and freedom.
We are just beginning rehearsals for our May concert that will includes pieces like:

'Freedom is a Voice' by Bobby McFerrin
'Man in the Mirror' by Michael Jackson
'Why We Build the Wall' by Anais Mitchell
'For This We Stand' by Jim Scott
'Ella's Song' by Bernice Johnson Reagon (which includes this lyric: "....we who believe in freedom cannot rest....")

We met Monday evening, 7-9pm at the New Hope Church, on the east side of Mangrove, next door to Forcella, directly across from Pep Boys. Come check it out, you will be welcomed, no obligation, no harm, no foul.
After three sessions, if you choose to commit, you'll be asked to do a very brief, private audition with Warren Haskell, our choral director. Obviously, if you have experience with a SATB chorus, that will help but is absolutely not necessary. Members also contribute a monthly fee of $20-30 to offset expenses.

Any questions, feel free to call Bill 530- five-one-three-2089

And we'd especially welcome any Baritone/Bass who'd like to come add their voice!!!
