A really nice American Standard trombone with a 7 inch bell. Its serial number is 29849, This well maintained trombone was manufactured between 1930 to 1935, which puts this beauty in the heart of the H.N. White Company’s ”Trombone Golden Era”. The time period from 1925 to 1940 was well known for H.N. White’s superior trombone quality and tone. This trombone includes the manufacture’s upgrade of a nice slide lock and an owner’s upgrade of a neck to slide threaded collar instead of the original pressure or screw collar connections that often fail.
This era of American Standard trombones were designed for brass band and parade band musicians so it has a clean sound when played loud. However, when playing a classic mellow trombone solo like “Don’t Get Around Much Anymore” it has a deep, rich and melodic tone.
Comes with the original hard case. The case is in good shape with locks and hinges that work well. The case is sturdy and all joints are straight, tight and well aligned. Case has a few cosmetic scuffs, but given its age you expect a scuff here and there.
