Self-motivated Roofer who always strives for excellence in every task and excels at working as a team. Understands the roofing process from beginning to end and can remove and install roof systems with no assistance and no supervision. Can assist other employees by answering questions and showing techniques. Has a high standard for quality and can assist the team in reaching it.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Understands roofing process
Remove old roofing materials and watertight roof deck
Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials
Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions
Install or repair flashing and other roof accessories
Inspect roof systems for damage and perform necessary repairs without supervision
Work on both residential and commercial projects
Consistently hits an average of 10 squares a day
Ensures quality work is done on the job site
Assists other employees as needed
Work as a team
Ensure safety standards are followed and met
Work on rooftops with various pitched surfaces
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Driver’s License (or ability/desire to get one)
Must be on time and have a strong work ethic
Ability to move equipment as needed (ladders, tools, etc- able to lift up to 50 lbs)
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, heat and cold.
Able to physically perform construction work
Able to pass a background check/random drug screening
Construction safety wear is required
