Stand up guy looking for a nice modest place (Chico)

Middle aged man with a nice car and great credit score looking for a new place of my own to call home. I am looking for a communal type of neighborhood where people are on good terms with one another. A place that is not on a busy corner, but instead tucked away on a quiet dead end, or maybe even just outside of town. I am looking for a one bedroom, studio or basement duplex style apartment. I can pay around 1k per month. I have references and people in town and nearby. Family, previous employer, previous renter. I am a non smoker. I have never been evicted. I respect the noise ordinance. I won’t be letting of fireworks anytime. I don’t have surround sound connected to my entertainment system, or play loud music in my car. I attended college, work and leave the area on occasion. I can take the garbage out, or rake the leaves. Clean background. I just need to find a nice place to live.
