Eversweet strawberry plants are heat-tolerant, day-neutral everbearing plants producing large, sweet red berries from spring through fall, even in temperatures exceeding 90°. Ideal for USDA Zones 4-10, these versatile, compact perennials (12–16 inches high) are well-suited for container gardening, hanging baskets, and raised beds.
How many strawberry plants do I need?
For fresh eating, plan on 6 to 10 strawberry plants per person, which typically yields about one quart of berries per plant. If you plan to freeze them, make jams, or eat them frequently, increase this to 20–40 plants per person to ensure a sufficient harvest.
