What You'll Do
Create exceptional dining experiences for guests staying in historic cabooses, local families, and travelers exploring Mount Shasta region.
Key responsibilities:
Welcome guests with genuine warmth and take accurate orders
Make knowledgeable menu recommendations based on preferences
Ensure proper timing and delivery of all courses
Handle special dietary requests and modifications
Process payments and maintain clean service areas
Learn about local farms and share enthusiasm with guests
Master menu knowledge including ingredients and allergens
Complete opening/closing duties and side work
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Natural ability to engage with guests and build rapport
Excellent communication and listening skills
Positive attitude and professional demeanor
Ability to multitask and stay calm in fast-paced environment
Physical stamina for 6-8 hour shifts (standing, walking, lifting 30 lbs)
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
Food Handler's Certification (or ability to obtain)
Alcohol service certification
Preferred:
Previous serving experience
Interest in sustainable food practices
Strong memory for guest preferences and order details

About Us
Jubilee Railroad Wilderness Lodge is a unique property in the magical Mount Shasta wilderness. We've been a beloved destination for 56+ years, recently acquired by Jubilee College with plans to expand as a hub for sacred hospitality and sustainable practices.
