Join us for Recuerdos de Paradise, a Benefit Concert to share memories of the past and to raise funds for the future of the Music & Arts community of Paradise.
This Memorial Day weekend Saturday concert will feature many of the world’s most famous classical and flamenco guitarists, including the Grammy award-winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Adam del Monte, Jack Cimo, and Berto Boyd. All musicians are performing for free and many other persons and businesses are volunteering to help with the organization and promotion of this fabulous benefit concert. All proceeds, after the most minimal expenses, will be donated to the re-building of Norton Buffalo Hall as a performance and multi-use facility in Paradise, and for the ongoing support of the Paradise Performing Arts Center.
Recuerdos de Alhambra (Memories of Alhambra) is a popular piece of classical guitar music, and seemed a most fitting theme for this concert which will give tribute to all that was good, but is now gone, and to celebrate all that will be beautiful about the new Paradise. The world came together to help the citizens of Paradise California in the weeks immediately after the November 8 Fire, and now the world will come together again to celebrate the re-birth of Paradise California. The Paradise Performing Arts Center is one of the few public gathering spaces left after the Fire and it is fitting that the local music and arts community can lead the way forward as Paradise rebuilds and renews.
