This was assembled carefully from a high quality kit and has some serious iron behind it. I have made some minor modifications, including routing a negative feedback switch to the rear of the amp, so that the cover does not needed to be taken off to set NFB. I also converted the power button to a push/pull switch. Aluminum faceplate was replaced with figured Walnut and I turned the volume knob and power button with Wenge and Holly.
It comes with the rare and great RCA black plate 2A3s and Sylvania 12BH7s, and coupling caps are Russian PIO K40Ys.
In terms of pure sound quality and soundstage, this amp beats out every other solid state and tube amplifier I've owned. It does not require a preamp. I'm selling to downsize further and because I prefer to have tone controls.
