Chamber Pot - $20 (Chico)

123
This is a 1-handled chamber pot by Homer Laughlin, so well-known for beautiful fine china. They were also well-known for their "toilet sets," of which this would have been apart of. It is likely from their ironstone line, with colorful flowers to one side of the pot. It is quite ornamented for a chamber pot! So many of them are so plain, and many of them are unmarked as well. This one is lovely, and in remarkable condition. I don't see any chips, cracks, etc. It measures 8.5" around, 5" high. If you follow this link, Harry Rinker of the Institute for the Study of Antiques & Collectibles, has a nice little piece about Homer Laughlin. And one of the photos shows the same marking as on my chamber pot. It is: harryrinker.com/col-1947.html
