Encompassing about 5 square miles the mountain is known for it's prolific bloom of wildflowers in the spring season. Mature oaks and lava outcrops are part of the landscape. By early summer the wildflowers are all gone until the following spring.
A serene landscape depicts a small stream meandering through dark rocky terrain, leading to a grass-covered hill dotted with trees under a bright blue sky. Sunlight filters through the foliage, highlighting spots of yellow wildflowers amidst the green.
