Furnished room offered for 6 months to 1 year term. Preference for traveling nurses, nursing students, or graduate students, or others planning to be here for a shorter term basis. The room will only be available for 1 year.
You will sign a lease, pass a background check, and credit check.
Rent $1200 includes ALL utilities and a monthly housekeeper. She comes one time a month for 3 hours and focuses on the kitchen and bathrooms, she will also do some basic cleaning in the common spaces but not the bedrooms. The price even includes the shared items! Laundry soap, dish detergent, and toilet paper - no hassle! We have a laundry room and dishwasher in unit.
The room has a memory foam double bed (with bedding), dresser, shelf, and large closet. Items may be used or we can move them out if you prefer.
House is a shared 1800 sqft home with myself (full time social worker, hybrid remote) and my fiancé (full time teacher). You would have your own bedroom and there is a hallway bathroom that would be predominantly used by you. Use of common spaces includes kitchen, den, and living room with large TV and streaming services (only thing we don’t have is Netflix).
There is also a large backyard garden and backyard chickens for fresh veggies and eggs throughout the year.
The home is located in a quiet and safe family neighborhood. Most of our neighbors are seniors who have owned their homes 50+ years, with some younger families starting to integrate into the neighborhood. We purchased the home in October of 2024. The neighbors are very sweet and will take time to get to know you.
About the US:
We are fun and social people in our early 30s. I’m a full time social worker working hybrid, and my partner is a full time math teacher. We have been together for 10 years. We’re predominantly home bodies (especially during the school year). We occasionally like to host a game night with our friends where we cook meals, make cocktails, and enjoy our covered patio on the weekend. Or we might have a friend come by to work on a puzzle and hang out throughout the week.
We’re overall very easy going and respectful of noise. We’re hoping that our next roommate will join us for an occasional planned game night and enjoy socializing with us when we’re all home.
We have pets in the home a 13 year old mini Staffordshire, 9 year old Husky/lab, and 2 cats (age 7 and 3). We pay for monthly grooming services to keep shedding under control.
Because we have a full house of animals, we ask that there are no other pets brought into the home.
Why we are looking for a roommate:
We recently got engaged and are hoping to share our home as we save for our wedding expenses. We love our home and have the space to share. This would be perfect for someone who is working or going to school full time that plans to relocate but needs something transitional. We are hoping to find a roommate that we can get along with and enjoys socializing with us.
