Our American Bulldog got away from my pregnant wife while she was loading him in the car. He took of running down Skway. By the time she got our son and herself in the car she had lost sight of him. Chance would love a loving home this Christmas. He is a very loving sweet beautiful dog. If you are standing around talking he will walk up and put his head in your hands. Very sweet, has the innocent puppy dog eyes that I think he will have forever. We got him from the pound 2 years ago and he has been a wonderful dog, but as with all dogs, he has his issues, lol. He would be best to a home with no other dogs or he can be with other dogs if they are all outdoor dogs. If there is another dog he may mark his territory in your house, which you of course do not want, lol. If you have no other dogs or plan to keep your previous dogs and him outside you will not have an issue with him using the bathroom in the house. We have an 11 yr old dog and we need to focus on him right now, and its not fair to chance, so Chance needs a good loving home that can give him the attention he deserves. He is around 5 years old but still very much a young dog. He LOVES to sleep in the funniest positions, he will give you lots of laughs. He only barks if he gets excited, and if you tell him no he stops right away. He loves walks. He is up to date on shots and heart gaurd. He is full of love. He would be best in a fenced yard or inside, not tied up because he will do whatever he has to to get untied. If you have any other questions please ask away. I have a sweet yellow lab, named Cody, that needs a good home. He is about 6.5 yrs old and he is very sweet and loving, and especially loves kids. He loves to cuddle and just hang out with you but would be better in a home with no other dogs because he likes to dominate, Because Cody is better without other dogs, I am hoping he will find the good home he deserves. He is a really good dog but he needs more time and attention than we can give and would make someone who can give lots of love very happy. The weather outside is frightful, but a home would be so delightful!

Beginning this Saturday, December 19, the �Caturday� rate of $20 will be in effect through Christmas Eve, when the shelter closes at 2 p.m. The shelter also offers 2 for 1 adoptions on all cats and kittens every day.

All dog adoption fees will also be reduced by $25. With over half of the shelter�s dogs living in outdoor-only kennels, Butte Humane Society hopes to encourage placement of these dogs into loving, warm and permanent homes as soon as possible.

The average cost of preparing an animal for adoption is $150, which includes vaccinations, feeding, parasite treatment/prevention, microchipping, temperament evaluation, and spay or neuter. This does not include any additional medical treatment that many also require. Also included with adoption is a collar, cardboard carrier for cats, a one-hour training consultation for dogs, a free vet exam at most local vets, and a bag of Science Diet pet food.

To ensure proper human-animal bonding and reduce the risk of unsuccessful adoptions, it is Butte Humane Society�s policy that an animal may not be adopted as a gift for someone unless the recipient is involved in the selection and adoption process.

He is a very loving sweet beautiful dog. If you are standing around talking he will walk up and put his head in your hands. Very sweet, has the innocent puppy dog eyes that I think he will have forever. We got him from the pound 2 years ago and he has been a wonderful dog, but as with all dogs, he has his issues, lol. He would be best to a home with no other dogs. If there is another dog he may mark his territory in your house, which you of course do not want, lol. If you have no other dogs you will not have an issue with him using the bathroom in the house. We have an 11 yr old dog and we need to focus on him right now, so Chance needs a good loving home that can give him the attention he deserves. He is around 5 years old but still very much a young dog. He LOVES to sleep in the funniest positions, he will give you lots of laughs. He is full of love. He would be best in a fenced yard or inside, not tied up because he will do whatever he has to to get untied. If you have any other questions please ask away. TATER 3.5 yr old male Blue Weimaraner with a little white patch on his chest. Tater loves to GO and DO things! He is big and robust and likes to be active, be it swimming, running, or pretending he is searching or hunting for something, he is ready to go on the next adventure. Tater is leash trained, and comes when called unless he is distracted by a bird or squirrel. Tater is full of life and wants his person to enjoy it with him. Tater would do very well with an active family of hikers, swimmers or runners. He has been going on 7 - 13 mile runs a couple times a week and does not miss a beet. He is a talker and will bark at farm animals and his people when he gets excited. Tater has some upland bird hunting under his collar, and would love to learn more. But his favorite activity is swimming! When he is not swimming, he takes a break by resting on the first step of the pool. Tater is a dominant male, so will do best in a home with a female dog companion, or no dog if his people are home a lot. He plays with people, but is aloof about other dogs. Tater is too active for children and needs to live in a dog savvy home. He cannot live with cats. He has papers, is current on shots and has been extremely well cared for. We have some gorgeous little button quail that need new homes, Button quail are flocking birds, and happy to make more for the flock, but room runs out. We have whites and silvers at the moment. These babies are 2 months old, still have growing, and molting to do, but they don�t need a brooder. These are strictly INDOOR birds. And NOT food birds. Too tiny. Very acive, they CAN fly, and fly far. So keep them well caged. I wont let just one go by itself, they don�t do well alone. Make good little cage bottom cleaner uppers for scattered seed by parakeets, canaries etc. but they need a little dish of food and water of their own. It�s best to feed them broiler or game bird mash, (not chick mash, it�s medicated). 5.00 each rehoming fee. Call 282-4229 ask for Joyce NOT available Saturday, will be back Sunday and from then on.
